About John Semmer

My goal in life is not only to be successful in what I do, but to be significant. To contribute to society, data that will add to the collective mass of human knowledge, making the world smarter, safer, healthier, and more efficient. Currently serving as an Engineering Technician for ATLAS Engineering at the Pittsburgh office in the Geotechnical and ConstructionMaterials Testing Division. Has a B.S. in Geology and Environmental Geoscience, a minor in Geography withvarious projects in energy, environmental, geotechnical, and construction industries. Current area of focus is on geotechnical projects including lower level management, geotechnical investigations,structural fill placement, materials testing, and laboratory testing. Responsible for the completion of reports, including; geotechnical, soil and rock coring, laboratory, and daily inspection reports. Additional experience includes; client and contractor communication, ArcGIS / Envi / gINT / and compilation of historical images and maps.
