About John Sheehe

I am a Mechanical Design engineer with 3 years of experience in machine and conveyor systems design. Along with design work, I have worked on managing major projects and customer orders in a dynamic, fast pasted production environment. Since graduating from Penn State in the spring of 2014, I have worked at Dyco in Bloomsburg, PA. In my role at Dyco, I am responsible for design and release of materials to satisfy customer orders of both machines and conveyor systems/components for plastic container handling. To get our customers a complete and correct solution, I work with a team of mechanical design engineers and application engineers on all phases of each project, from concept creation to system testing and installation. As a member of the engineering team, I have also been responsible for process restructuring and continuous improvement projects. My ability to succeed in this role has been largely dependent on my drive to develop a complete understanding of each part of the process that goes into delivering a fully functional system or machine to Dyco’s end customer. Through having that comprehensive understanding, I have been better able to manage the details that are critical to a good mechanical design. My co-workers know me as a resource they can come to with questions on any aspect of our overall workflow as project engineers. I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University Park, where I studied for 4 years.
