About John Shin

I’m a senior at Stony Brook University pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering. My academic journey spans foundational courses like Digital Logic Design, Advanced Programming & Data Structures, and Embedded Systems, as well as more specialized topics like Real-Time Operating Systems, Computer Architecture, Network Security Engineering, and Digital Image Processing. Through projects in these areas, such as designing a MIPS pipelined processor or implementing process scheduling algorithms, I’ve developed strong problem-solving skills and a keen understanding of hardware-software integration. My hands-on experience with VHDL for digital design, microcontrollers for embedded systems, and various programming languages (C, C++, Python) has given me a well-rounded technical toolkit. I’m also comfortable collaborating on multidisciplinary teams, drawing on my background in signals and systems and algorithmic design to devise innovative solutions. As I prepare to transition into a full-time role, I’m eager to join a forward-thinking organization where I can apply my passion for solving complex engineering problems.
