About John Shrum

I grew up in Guatemala, Central America. As such, I speak fluent Spanish and have a unique understanding of Latin American culture. After graduating from the American School of Guatemala, I moved to the US for collegiate studies, and graduated from the University of South Carolina in 1982. My business experience has been in wholesale distribution. The first half of my career was spent with companies that distributed industrial electronics / light electrical products to both MRO and OEM accounts. Most of my positions revolved around sales management at the regional or corporate level. I have spent the last 19 years in the paint sundries industry. During this time I have led sales teams on a regional and corporate level. In addition to domestic accounts, I have been involved with international accounts in Latin America and the Caribbean.
