I am a songwriter/vocalist and I produce an alt rock, hip hop, and country fusion, based in Los Angeles, CA. I founded Sabre Jacson Music in July 2019 with the release of The Break Ground EP, and since, have continuously developed the musical spectrum of the brand and artist. I am self-published and mostly self-produced, and thought it'd be worth noting my songwriting process. SONGWRITING PROCESS My songs usually start on the acoustic guitar with a rough vocal melody, and a loosely-based theme. Once I have a strong guitar chord-progression and vocal melody, I'll play it through while the feeling is still fresh. I'll explore the "feel" of the rhythm and melody, and how they accompany one another to bring about a unified sound and expression. Then, I really hone in on what the song is about and where I could possibly take it; thematically and musically. From there I'll begin exploring other guitar riffs and chord progressions that I can potentially use as an intro, verse, pre-chorus, or outro. The last step of my songwriting process is then the arrangement, from start to finish. Then comes the production! WESTERN TOWN The latest single is 'Western Town'. This song is about trailblazing your own path which is reflected in the stoic, musical landscape. It's a blend influenced by 90s alt rock and early hip hop, and channels the introspective thoughts and turmoils of a cowboy leaving comfort for the chance of a lifetime. OBJECTIVE My objective is to partner with reputable music libraries and agencies to synchronize my music in film, tv and advertising. I want to align with brands that are explorative and daring, as these are the attributes that are embodied in the SABRE JACSON brand.
