About John Singleton

I am John Singleton, and have been fortunate to spend the last 30 years helping staff, managers and directors of the organisations I’ve worked in, colleagues in the HR Teams I have led and been part of, and my family, friends and others I have come into contact with, to achieve all they can personally and professionally. When leading HR teams, I am passionate about enthusing my team in making our days fun and fulfilling through demonstrating how we help to improve individual and organisational performance, firstly through delivering efficient processes and systems which provide key management information, reduce costs and increase business opportunities, and secondly developing and maintaining meaningful and transparent business partnerships with service managers and staff representatives to coach and work with them to manage people effectively. I feel strongly that organisations which recruit, reward, motivate, control, listen to, look after the health and wellbeing of, and ultimately retain the right quality of staff are fulfilling to work in and be successful, and HR have a key role in delivering this. I love meeting new people and maintaining networks of people who can help me to help others, and have a large bank of contacts and knowledge of best practice solutions in the profession. I am an avid reader, both of fiction and literature related to work in the 21st century, and love passing on new things I have learned. I am known for taking on difficult challenges and have delivered complex projects on time which have saved my organisations valuable time, money and other resources which have helped to improve our performance, quality and competitiveness.
