With over 25 years of experience in a professional IT environment, I currently serve as a Senior Systems Engineer at UPMC in the Greater Pittsburgh Area. I am proficient in both Windows and Linux environments and possess a comprehensive understanding of diverse technologies. My role involves systems engineering and administration, project management, and development. I am passionate about tackling complex problems and finding innovative solutions. Throughout my career, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to continuous professional development. My technical skills include data analytics using R, SQL Server and MySQL, Unix/Linux, Microsoft Windows Server Administration, Microsoft Exchange, and various networking technologies such as switching, routing, firewalls, VPN, VoIP, and virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware. I hold several certifications, including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), and CompTIA certifications in Project+, Security+, Linux+, Network+, and A+. I am also a Certified Linux Administrator (LPIC-1) and previously held a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification. In my role at UPMC since May 2016, I have been responsible for configuring, deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting various applications and servers. I have successfully managed large-scale projects such as PACS, DICOM routers, and custom healthcare applications, working collaboratively with vendors and stakeholders to achieve organizational goals. My prior roles at H2 Communications, Netcarrier, and other firms have allowed me to refine my skills in systems administration, database management, network administration, and technical support.
