About John Sopko

I am a strategic thinker who is highly adept at seeing all variables, developing a plan, and implementing solutions. These talents have served me well as a former supply chain analyst, I developed and constantly improved importation procedures for my company. Through my global supply chain experience I have developed a deep appreciation for other cultures values and traditions. I will take the initiative to gain the required knowledge to complete tasks. I am looking to help global companies find more cost-effective ways to be become sustainable and environmentally responsible in a financial setting.I began my career in the financial industry where my role as a financial representative required an understanding of client’s personal goals and developing strategic plans to help reach them. Not long after I discovered a desire to work in a more global setting and started as a logistic coordinator for a startup company based in Sydney Australia. Within a year I was promoted to North American Supply Chain Analyst where I reviewed, designed, and implemented a new importation process from Australia/New Zealand into Canada decreasing costs by 15%. After I facilitated the construction of a new pricing tool where I developed leadership skills by working closely with team members across the globe. I graduated from the University of Mount Union with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Business Administration. At Katz, I am pursuing my MBA with concentrations in Finance and Strategy.
