A highly experienced security specialist having had a extensive career mitigating and managing high threat and security risks through operational and technical expertise. The last 17 years have been spent in multi-disciplined protective security environments in the public and private sectors, operating in the UK and in hostile environments overseas. With a broad security related background he has developed an extensive level of knowledge and proven ability working within - and managing – protective security & intelligence units; project managing organisational and technical projects, designing, developing delivering crisis management and risk mitigation capabilities within the UK and overseas against tight timeframes and within budget. John continues to work at the strategic level of Government implementing and supporting complex integrated crisis management systems development and enhancement. He has considerable training experience from design & stakeholder engagement, programme and budget management through to delivery of multi faceted, complex large scale testing and exercising programmes at local, regional and National tiers. John has demonstrable expertise at designing, implanting and coordinating National level programmes that effect institutional and organisational change at the Strategic, Tactical and Operational level.
