About John Stein

The youngest of five boys, I grew up with my brothers in a loving home with strong faith and values where we all worked together on the Stein family dairy farm in New York. Still operating today—milking an average of Holstein cows and farming over acres—I am grateful for my upbringing. At a young age I developed a passion for the outdoors and a keen interest in building. When not working my brothers and I enjoyed flying the small plane we kept on the farm. I attribute my work ethic, dedication to quality and positive can-do attitude primarily to my farming heritage. Although my real satisfaction comes in helping people cultivate their estate dreams, I enjoy the entire development platform—establishing enjoyable and trustworthy relationships; fervently listening to gain precise understanding of personal goals, ideas, needs and priorities; executing a thorough property study and evaluation of all unique site aspects; addressing special considerations for equine comfort, health and safety; procuring and managing site surveys, civil engineering, architectural and mechanical design, plumbing and electrical design, grading, fencing and landscaping—I understand each part of the process is crucial for a successful outcome.
