Experienced in successfully shipping software/integrated products for major PC OEMs and vendors and embedded Linux systems. Primary focus was on leading teams in creating and executing appropriate and measurable test plans and procedures for software such as device drivers, hardware-enabling applications and embedded firmware. Led the execution of test plans and the reporting of defects and test metrics throughout the product life cycle, including ensuring the products met OEM standards for deployment in factory preinstalls, aftermarket upgrade kits and web download upgrades. Familiar with Remedy, Bugzilla, Redmine and custom defect tracking solutions and the benefits/problems that affect the product delivery process. Experience creating custom software automation to stress test GUI, install/uninstall routines, power management support and network/serial interfaces. Effective use, install, and configuration of Debian-based Linux desktops/servers. In-depth experience with software deployment on Windows 3.1/NT through Windows 7 operating systems, including some experience using Windows Server Specialties: SQA team building; Windows driver validation; PC configuration and troubleshooting; application testing; system imaging; Microsoft Office tools; software quality assurance planning, metrics reporting, test plan/procedure execution and results reporting; defect tracking and management; software life cycle management (program management); HP/Mercury Quality Center 10; factory preinstall testing; black and white box testing; GUI and installer automation.
