About John Storrie

As a BioPharma Manufacturing Trainer at CASTL, I share my passion and expertise for biomanufacturing with adult learners from various backgrounds. I design and deliver engaging and effective training programs that cover the theory and practice of biomanufacturing processes, such as microbial fermentation, cell culture, and purification. I have over three years of hands-on experience in fermentation production, working at Elanco as a production specialist and a technician. I led a team of four individuals in scaling up an existing commercial process to produce mRNA vaccine for aquaculture, achieving high yields and quality standards. I also assisted a team in carrying out scheduled production of the same vaccine, following SOPs and GMPs. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Acadia University, where I learned the fundamentals of microbiology, biochemistry, and molecular biology. I also have a certification as a training professional from Professional Development, which demonstrates my commitment to adult education and continuous learning. My goal is to advance my career as a biomanufacturing trainer and contribute to the growth and innovation of the biopharmaceutical industry.
