A driven and passionate CEO, I have over 30 years senior leadership experience within the insurance industry, shaping the future of the personal lines insurance businesses, with success in driving strategies and transforming under-performing teams. Previously Chief Executive Officer for RAC Insurance. I was promoted to fulfil this role, after almost two years as General Manager leading claims service delivery improvements underpinned by and success implementing major process re-engineering project. While in the CEO position in December 2012, I had significant impact through the development and execution of insurance strategy to improve overall corporate performance. An insurance SME, my previous experience includes senior leadership roles with Suncorp, AAMI, and APIA. Across my professional experience, I have established myself as an authentic and inclusive leader, able to shape strategic vision and develop opportunities. A trusted advisor to the Board, and a strong interface between Board and employees, I communicate with impact and influence, supported by established trust and credibility. My ability to build talent, shape culture overhaul performance has been well established across my career. Recent Successes include »Through an integrated program of capability and competency improvement, I achieved elevated performance and improved Staff Engagement Score from 67%(2012) to 84%. » In addition, I have set a vision for greater efficiency and cost reduction, and implemented valuable strategic initiatives; This has resulted in achievements of key performance targets, including increase in market share, improved net promoter scores, and achieved record policy unit sales. » In 2012, I was awarded RAC Leader of the Year in recognition of inspirational leadership and impact made across financial, business, people and culture outcomes. Happily no longer working full-time but available for non-executive directorships, consultancy and mentoring.
