About John Stuart

An interest in ham radio led to an interest in electronics, which led to an interest in computers. I’m still involved in all three. That’s why I have worked with computer hardware and repair (hence the A+ certification), and tech support, including help desk. Which led to working as a Sys Admin (MS Windows - MCP). From there, the next logical step for me was to work with computer networking, leading to Network+ and Cisco (CCENT). Another side of all that would be my interest in security, including physical security (which is why I was a locksmith) as well as data security (which led to Security+, and to becoming IT Sector Chief for the Charlotte InfraGard). Separately, I also had enough healthcare background that I took the Healthcare IT courses when they became available, going the HIT – Technical/Software Support route. I’ve always been a teacher, both officially and unofficially, which led to both the CTT+ and the MCT, and teaching computer users everything from Excel to computer repair to networking to security.
