John Summer is Principal at The Summer Group, a private consulting company specializing in public and private corporate messaging as an On-Air, Video and Voice Talent, Producer, Writer and General Consultant. John is an Emmy and multi award-winning Anchor and Investigative Reporter with great depth in the broadcast and print industry, having also served as regional President of The Society of Professional Journalists and Lecturer at the Poynter Institute, Cal Poly State University, California Specialized Training Institute and other educational institutions. John's well-earned expertise greatly enhances a corporation's messaging to obtain the optimum positive reception from its clients and consumers. Previously, John was Director of Business Development for Taylor Frigon Capital Management LLC, headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona with offices in San Francisco, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo, California. TFCM invests in meticulously researched companies for private clients, institutions, family offices and other investment firms. Prior to joining TFCM, John served as Executive Director for Tourism Promotion for San Luis Obispo County, California, Co-Owner and Publisher of a high-end regional lifestyle magazine, and Financial Advisor for a major financial services firm. John also spent over two decades as a Television News Anchor and Emmy Award winning Investigative Reporter, combining his love of research with the art of articulating and communicating information into clear terms. John and his family devote much of their free time to community work and non-profit fundraising throughout the California Central Coast, serving on boards and volunteering as Emcees and other promotional duties. John received his BFA and Teaching Degree from Ohio Wesleyan University; performed his Masters'​ Work at Maryland Institute, and secured post-graduate credentials in Broadcasting and Finance, including the First Class Broadcast License, Securities Licenses Series 7, 63, 65, 66, Insurance and Certified Financial Manager/CFM. John continues his advanced education in all disciplines.
