About John Szymanski

My name is John Szymanski. I’m a highly adaptable individual who has ran his own business, worked in a corporate setting, worked in real estate and now works with the municipal government for the city of Philadelphia. I have vast experiences for a person of my age from maintenance to video editing to real estate appraisal work all while obtaining a bachelor’s degree from the respected Temple University with a magna cum laude designation. I've proven to be able to work in stressful environments while performing calculated mental or physical work. I care about the careers that I pursue and strive to learn as much as possible in order to become a resource to any employer and a more rounded and experienced individual. Examples of the experiences I have gained: While being briefly unemployed (due to a layoff) I decided to run and start my own business while partnering with a charitable organization. I learned how to hustle and work hard with no supervision and on my own. I employed two part-time employees and learned how to manage people and keep them on task. I have performed property maintenance ever since high school for a family business. This work has consisted of everything from new roofs to basement cement and basically everything in between. This mostly independent work has taught me how to be physical when I need to be while learning how to tackle small jobs one at a time in order to reach the larger goal. I've also negotiated with contractors when the job called for a specialist. I've learned real estate appraisal work and I am 1 class shy of obtaining a PA trainee license. I currently work in the real estate law field as a Title Registration Aide for the city of Philadelphia. In this job I examine various real estate documents including deeds, mortgages and more for legal compliance and completeness. I often explain to customers real estate tax laws and other manners in order for documents to be recorded with the recorder of deeds.
