John was fortunate to have an Honors Chemistry teacher in High School that encouraged him to take control of his education. The way the subject matter was presented not only prepared him for a degree in Chemistry but also started a life long interest in science. John received his Chemistry degree from Northern Arizona University. His college experience culminated with doing undergraduate research in Medicinal Chemistry and Theoretical Chemistry, respectively. Currently, John is manufacturing cGMP oligonucleotides with an emphasis on modifications and “ultramer” development.
