About John T. Trigonis

A creative writer since age twelve, I have dedicated myself entirely to the written word, and I continue to follow my passion for telling stories in various formats –– from screenplays, TV pilots, and short films to graphic novels and novellas. I am the author of several chapbooks of poetry, THE book on the subject of CROWDFUNDING FOR FILMMAKERS (published in two editions by Michael Wiese Productions), and the comic book series SIREN'S CALLING. From 2013 until 2018, I put my expertise in crowdfunding for independent film to use as Indiegogo's Creative Campaign Strategist, and I also managed the @IndiegogoFilm Twitter account (now defunct since my departure) to further amplify filmmakers' efforts to reach wider audiences in the film and creative spaces. Since running my own campaign for my eighth short film CERISE back in 2010 and up until now, I have been responsible for helping over campaigns raise upwards of $35.5M, ensuring their stories are told in the best way possible and that funding is no obstacle to excellence. Since leaving Indiegogo, I am looking to work more with words, helping companies tell stories through everything from articles, listicles, and long-form writing to copyediting and proofreading already crafted work to ensure that writing is the best it can be.
