About John Tapp

18 years in the food industry have given me a wealth of knowledge and experience. With the range of roles covered, I have experience from Warehousing/Production to my current role in Stock and Planning. This has enabled me to have a full understanding of the end to end supply chain. My current role is key in the supply chain team, responsible for all product and material purchases, managing a range of British and Continental cheese and non cheese ingredients across multiple locations. Working closely with the Production Planner and Demand Planner to ensure our production and sales demand is met. Other responsibilities include mid & long term procurement forecasts, liaising with customers ensuring products meet their specific profile and maturation needs. Xmas planning, responsible for the planning of seasonal specific lines as well as uplifts on AYR lines. Liaising with suppliers in the UK and Europe to ensure products meet our specific volume, maturation and delivery phasing.
