I have eight years experience teaching online informed by in-the-trenches management experience in health care organizations and relevant academic training. For many years, I have been a grant reviewer or grant review chair conducting evaluation assessments on innumerable Federal grant applications for public health and health services project funding. CONSULTANT: Particularly deep experience w/community based organizations such as Community and Migrant Health Centers (FQHCs) & local public health agencies that seek to improve performance through professional consultation/facilitation related to: a. strategic planning b. grant writing c. FQHC/CHC board training d. management mentoring for executive suite officers including CEOs, CFO's and CMOs. e. workforce training: recruitment/retention of top quality providers and staff. f. program planning and evaluation. g."mock site reviews" for the HRSA OSV (audit) WORKSHOP LEADER/FACULTY: An accomplished educator with > 25 years teaching experience. Over the years, I have taught in well regarded MBA, MPH, and MPA training programs & given dozens of workshops & 1-2 day seminars for health care organizations across the US on topics ranging from Governance: The Role of the Board of Directors to one titled: Real Strategic Planning: A Professional Approach that Goes Beyond Creating Vision Statements.
