About John Turner

I have a passion for baseball, fitness, and construction, which stems from my own playing and coaching career and my career in landscape. I played competitive baseball for years in Florida, Tennessee, and internationally, participating in mission trips and baseball clinics in Guatemala, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and Panama. I graduated from Johnson University with a dual degree in Bible & Theology and Sports & Fitness Leadership, and played in both the NCCAA and NAIA leagues. I am always eager to learn new techniques, methods, and best practices to enhance my knowledge and skills in all aspects of my professional career.During my time at Johnson I was able to learn and develop my skills in various ways by working on collegiate athletic fields and public recreation complexes in the Knoxville, Tennessee community. After graduation I took those skills to become a foreman in a profound landscape company in New Albany, Ohio. In a year’s time my wife and I decided to move back to Knoxville. This is where I had a few opportunities to start in a construction atmosphere with landscape installments. Shortly after I did use my degree to work at The Ripken Experience Pigeon Forge. However, after some thought, I realized I need something that suited me and my personality more. Despite no longer using my degree, it helped mold me into the career I have today. I am now a sales representative and project manager in the East Tennessee area for Centurion Stone of Chattanooga. Most of my focus is around Knoxville and Maryville, Tennessee. From residential subdivisions and custom homes, to multi-family housing and other commercial developments. I sell various lines of stone, materials, and labor. As well as working alongside general contractors and their superintendents.
