About John Tushar

I was born in a fauji (army) family, an OG fauji kid/brat, and exposed to so much in such little time that adapting to new places, faces, friends and schools every two years became a fun game. I learned so much from travelling and interacting with people across multiple cultures. It has helped me build a great set of soft skills. I remember when I wanted to be a "maali"- a gardener who tends to the flowers and cuts grass in fauji homes. The happiness in his eyes seeing the flowers bloom marks my earliest connection to knowing that I wanted to work in a place where I help build beautiful things. No wonder I chose design as my profession. Watching my parents love what they do was a constant reassurance too. My journey from a business major to a PGD in advertising design was a bold leap of faith. I started with social media posts at a local restaurant and went on to do 75+ small businesses across the globe. Design I knew made me tick. The evidence of how something simple could be so powerful makes me want to wake up every morning to do it all over again. I usually lose track when I'm deep into doing what I love. Fortunately for me, it's what I do for a living too. A few years ago, I moved to Stockholm to study strategy in design, and that was the best decision I've taken. My strength lies in understanding people and their behaviors which I actively use to craft a story for the brands I work with. I'm known for bringing my best and more to any work I'm involved in. My forte lies in crafting seamless brand strategies, facilitating workshops and leading design teams to build aesthetic layouts and solutions for my clients. I'm currently working at Brand Studio by Atlas Copco, an in-house partner for all communication needs to the mega-corporate Atlas Copco Group. I work across all teams as the strategy lead to clarify governance, architecture and brand alignment cases. In my work here, I have helped multi-national corporations restructure their strategic foundation and messaging through tested and proven frameworks. I work across continents and feel honored to be a part of my team. I also help small climate-cautious businesses with their strategy, art direction and design. Speak at leading design institutes, and help build a quality educational framework as part of the quality information cell. As an advocate of personal branding, I believe everyone should spend time building their own self as unique brand. Currently working on building a messaging framework foundation for Atlas Copco group as it turns 150 years old in 2023.
