About John Valente

After a long successful career in law enforcement, I was very fortunate in being able to retire at a fairly young age. Certainly too young to sit on the front porch and yell at passing kids to "Get off my lawn!" Having grown up around the oceans all my life, I launched a second career by purchasing a yacht and starting a charter company. That one yacht purchase has evolved into the largest private yacht charter network in San Diego with over 25 private charter yachts to choose from. We are now able to host any party from a romantic couple on a sunset cruise to a corporate event for up to 1200 guests. San Diego Bay Cruises is a one stop shop for meeting and event planners, birthday celebrations, bachelor and bachelorette parties, weddings, corporate outings, and more. Each of our yachts has different passenger capacities and amenities. Almost all of our charters are catered. Some yachts have preferred vendors that can assist you with food and beverage packages. Other yachts offer the flexibility of you bringing your own food and beverage, or hiring a caterer of your choice.
