About John Varga

I am a semi-retired Internal Audit, Risk and Governance managerial professional. In June 2020, I was headhunted by Chartall Business College as a subject matter expert to develop Banking, Financial Services Legislation and Real Estate courses for their students. My portfolio has grown considerably to include Credit Management, Marketing, Facilities Management and Risk Management. The work entails the full creation and development of these courses, completion of study guides, preparing scripts and PowerPoint slides for on-line e-tutorial presentations, recording of these online lectures and activities, as well as the compilation of examination papers. In 2022 I was appointed as a e-lecturer which includes lecturing, student support and marking of work assignments and examination papers. I also perform QA reviews on the courses. I am also registered with the BANKSETA to provide assessment review work. My past work experience has been as a seasoned Internal Audit, Risk and Governance managerial professional. My extensive work experience covered both the public and private sectors in the following industries: financial services, banking, professional audit services, gaming and lottery, mining, oil, light and heavy engineering, FMCG companies, radio and television, canning and bottling and water reticulation.
