About John Volponi

I’m passionate about the “we” rather than the “me” as I realize that even a bottle drive would be a challenge to do well alone. I is always a “we” because without my family, friends and colleagues there would be no results to speak of, therefore it is we who care and put people, learning, teamwork and serving a priority. We seek to share our struggles, work together for better outcomes and help each other, because everyone is special. We all have a need to be cared for and we are all worthy, no matter what we have done, what we are like or what we believe. People are the engine of organizations and we are driven to create cultures in which teams can thrive. We love human resources, therefore care how important it is to nurture relationships internally and externally in regards to organizational success and stakeholder value. We have over 20 years' experience in HR and Project Management, 18 years in business leadership and association advocacy with all levels of government, 15 years in post-secondary learning/instructing and philanthropic friend and fundraising. We are adept at enhancing the employee experience, customer needs, employee/student careers and developing positive workplace cultures. We have been entrusted to leadership positions in several organizations with a dedication to integrity, accountability and results that leads to trust. During the course of my career, we have gained a breadth of diverse organizational experience. This includes not for profit, corporate, academic and consultant roles. These experiences enabled me to obtain a toolkit of knowledge in diverse business, project, academic, HR practices, codes and employment regulations. As parents, friends, colleagues, we work hard to be self-disciplined and are able to be relational, inspirational, process driven and political when needed.(photo credit.
