As a Senior Project Manager I have worked alongside numerous ad agencies and Creatives in the Kansas City area, from annual reports to promotional kits, posters, invitations and mailers. While working as a buyer / expediter for a major catalog publisher my team handled projects from simple inserts, and 16-page saddle stitched booklets to multiple versions of 672 page perfect bond product catalogs. For over nine years I worked with three of the top packaging companies and their clients to produce top sheets for manufactured goods such as: Motorola, Sprint / Nextel, Maxtor, Adobe, New Balance, Kodak, Tenneco Automotive, 1-800 Contacts, Libbey Glass, Target, Lego Toys, USPS, Hallmark Cards, Omaha Steaks, and ACH Foods. I have produced layouts, estimated paper and materials required to complete jobs. Worked with customers and electronic pre-press to output customer files, film / CTP and proofing. Furnished each department the information required to expedite the printing process. I was the Back-Up Production Scheduler for PrePress, Pressroom, Bindery and Shipping. Evaluated potential vendors and purchased outside prepress and post press as well as mail service and paper. During my 40 plus years in the printing industry I have performed the following duties while holding these positions: Commercial Sheet Fed Pressman, Computer layout, Purchasing, Produced estimates, Senior Project Coordinator, Back-Up Production Scheduler for all manufacturing, Sales: New Account Manager sales for a midsize commercial sheet fed and digital printer in the Kansas City market.
