Your tall, why don’t you do the reports.” Those are words that launched me down a path I have never wanted to leave. I was 16 years old, I was a Manager, and it was my first real job I have ever had. That was the start of a never-ending thirst for knowledge and a insatiable focus to be an extraordinary leader and mentor. I enjoy listening, observing, and being part my surroundings, looking for connections and common ground. My experiences and education have thought me to find the place I am most needed and where I can bring immediate value. My encounters have thought me that it is not always what you know but also who you know and how you can help others be successful. Most recently I worked for Campers Village as a Store Manager and District Manager where I was able to utilize my strengths and management skills. Some of the more exciting aspect of my over 12 years with Campers Village included. • Opened a new retail store that included a new layout, fixturing program, and merchandising strategy. • Recruit, hired, onboarded, trained, and coached a team that grew to over 100 people. • Designed a “Daily Control” program using Excel and other Microsoft Office programs to track and drive financial performance. This included all key performance indicators (KPI’s), margins, customer traffic, conversion, payroll, and financial targets. • Performed a complete overhaul of the merchandising layout and strategy to develop a customer experiential environment resulting in increased sales, improved KPI’s, and enhanced understanding of the brand. • Traveled to buying shows to research and purchase new product lines while seeking new merchandising inspiration and company growth opportunities. • Increased the company close rate percentage from an average of 32% to over 45%. Including regular occurrences of over 60% in individual stores. • Worked with all locations to improve employee development, employee engagement, customer service, compliance with company standard operating procedures, financial performance, expense management, inventory and inventory planning, profit, and loss, and loss prevention. I have worked for many exciting companies including Tommy Hilfiger, Railtown Entertainment, Coast Mountain Sports, and YM inc. I have been a brand ambassador and product tester for companies like Icebreaker, Smartwool, Kuma, Columbia Sportswear and Prana. Leadership and people development are in my blood and both have always excited me. I am looking forward to a strong successful future knowing I have found what makes me happy in life and work.
