About John Wasmuth

Hi, I’m John Wasmuth, a recent finance graduate with a passion for leadership, public service, and purpose-driven business. While earning my degree, I tried to take every opportunity to grow both in and outside the classroom. I co-founded and served as Vice President of the Student Sustainability Council, which was honored as Student Organization of the Year. I also led as President of the Entrepreneurship Club, was elected Treasurer in student government, and chaired the Finance Committee. My campaign for Student Body President gave me the chance to engage with dozens of campus groups, lead public debates, and sharpen my communication skills. Professionally, I’ve completed internships in banking, fiscal policy, accounting, and even at an art brokerage located in Indianapolis’ only 5-star hotel, The Conrad. These internships helped to deepen my understanding of finance and gave me insight into both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. I recently scored a 167 on the LSAT and plan to attend law school, with long-term goals at the intersection of finance, law, and sustainability. I'm driven to help organizations improve profitability while also advancing environmental and social impact, because I believe strong business and strong values can (and must) go hand-in-hand.
