John Whittemore, D.D.S. is dedicated to helping each of his patients preserve his or her smile-both in appearance and physical health. He caters to patients of all ages and believes that everyone deserves a smile of which he or she can be proud. Dr. Whittemore was recently voted "Best Family Dentist" by the readers of Memphis Parent Magazine, reflecting his commitment to comprehensive and cosmetic dentistry for all kinds of patients. A graduate of Rhodes College and the University of Tennessee Dental School, Dr. Whittemore continually attends seminars and courses to further his education in restorative dentistry-he has studied extensively with Dr. David Hornbrook on "Functional Anterior Veneers," Dr. Peter Dawson in St. Petersburg, Florida, and Dr. John Kois of Seattle, among other renowned dentists around the world. Dr. Whittemore was voted among the Best Dentists in America and he is a member of numerous prestigious professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (of which he is a Sustaining Member), the American Dental Association, and the Memphis Dental Society. He is a volunteer doctor for the Give Back a Smile Foundation, which helps survivors of domestic abuse regain their self-esteem by rebuilding their smiles.
