About John-William Luis

I'm an Industrial Engineering student (B.Eng.) and a certified Technical Product Designer (IHK) currently enrolled in a dual study program at DHBW in cooperation with EDAG Group. After finishing my Abitur with excellent results (final grade: 1.1), I chose a double degree study program at EDAG Group to gain maximum practical experience. I completed my IHK-certified apprenticeship in technical product design in just 2.5 years – 12 months faster than standard – while simultaneously starting my bachelor’s degree. This intensive overlapping phase taught me how much can be achieved with focus and determination. At EDAG, I've already gained hands-on experience in full vehicle development, sustainability consulting assessments (QLCA/LCA), packaging studies, and also designed various fixtures for component testing – primarily using Siemens NX. I've also had the opportunity to participate in concept investigations and to present technical results directly to OEM customers. I really enjoy working at the crossroads of technology, strategy, and communication, and I’m always eager to grow my skills and take on more responsibility in interdisciplinary projects. Outside of work and studies, you'll often find me at the gym, indulging my passion for automobiles, keeping an eye on the stock market, or enjoying a good game of chess.
