About John Wren

Due to my 12+ years’ experience at the Principal research/evaluation advisor level at MOH, ACC and Superu I offer a wealth of experience in advising, leading and managing a wide range of types of research (and policy) programs and projects covering surveys, statistical data analysis, literature reviews, research and evaluation using mixed methods, knowledge synthesis, research and evaluation procurement and contract management, and knowledge transfer into policy and operation decision-making. In addition, I offer significant experience in research contract management (including cross agency work), stakeholder relationship management and risk management, and established networks across the research and evaluation community. I have a history of providing thought leadership, insight, knowledge transfer, and the advancement of collegial understanding and professional development of staff. The research and evaluation work I have delivered has been described as impactful, insightful, timely, relevant, and great relationships. I am a highly competent public presenter at international and national events, and I have successfully provided official’s leadership at the Ministerial Committee level. Much of my work has involved leading small teams, external peer review, and formal publication of reports and public presentations, some of which are in the public domain. The work demonstrates the ability to write and present in a range of styles, the generation of insight, and management of ambiguity in the public health / social policy area.
