About John Youngblood

Successful in exploiting major business opportunities and leading companies with significant business problems through difficult times, frequently during intense, stressful and time-limited projects. These successes included rescuing a $450M NYSE electronics company from a hostile takeover attempt, leading the writing of a proposal to win a $500M U.S. Army program for a major defense contractor, and leading a small electronics company to a successful Nasdaq IPO. Since retiring in 2003 in Southwest Louisiana, I have assisted local operations of large companies by establishing and running three procurement groups, one focused on Sarbanes Oxley compliance, another on procurement of large amounts of steel for fabrication of nuclear power plants and another on procurement of services for inspection of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility for potential conversion from importing LNG to exporting it. I am continuing to focus my experience on special business challenges of limited duration (several weeks to a few years, either full time or part time) where it is clear that I can readily rescue troubled operations or exploit major opportunities for companies or institutions. My wife and I are also accustomed to me being away from home for extended periods of time.
