About John Zerafa

I help organisations and brands in the business of sport create unique and powerful stories. I then advise the best way to communicate these stories to those who matter most - nudging decision makers, influencers, media, fans and consumers to act differently towards you. As co-founder of Vero Communications, I worked on some of the biggest global campaigns in sport, from Olympic bids (London, Paris), World Cup bids (Qatar, Australia/New Zealand), sports presidential elections (Gianni Infantino, Seb Coe), football club takeovers (Liverpool FC) to navigating difficult reputational issues such as human rights & corporate transparency. Campaign/election style comms delivering a clear end goal is what I do best. It’s this goal that underpins my work and ethos at Clear Thought - the comms agency I founded in 2019. We’ve advised golf’s DP World Tour, leading experiential group Sela, UK Sport, UK Athletics, UEFA, the FA, The Vice President of UEFA, Nordic Football Associations & the Faroese Sports Committee. I also work as a strategic adviser to Artificial Intelligence company Signify who use smart tech and big data to gauge and help change decision maker, fan & consumer thinking. In addition, I help drive the growth & roll-out of Signify’s world leading technology to combat online abuse - Threat Matrix - to the global sports industry.
