About Johnathon Morton

I am a dedicated student at the University of Idaho pursuing degrees in Political Science and History with a minor in Spanish. I am currently serving as a Senator on the Associated Students at the University of Idaho and holding the position of Secretary for the Young Democrats. My commitment to education extends beyond my own studies, as I am volunteering some time every week to tutoring young students in the Moscow community in need of academic support. I am eager to share my knowledge and contribute to the academic growth of others. After earning my bachelors, I plan on earning my teaching credential, and then teaching High School Government and US History while also earning my M.S. in Education. After completing my masters and teaching for 2-3 years, I intend to start my own private academic coaching business working with students from all ages on enhancing their academic skills, with a speciality in coaching students with learning differences. Outside the academic realm, I bring a wealth of experience in healthcare, having worked as a caregiver, direct support staff, and medication technician since my senior year of high school. My roles have involved providing essential care and companionship to the elderly and disabled, honing my interpersonal and caregiving skills.
