About Johnelle Dufour

A 21st century tech enhanced educator, which is a fancy way to express myself as a passionate virtual teacher, Esports leader, and mathematics coach who possesses an aptness to adapt to educational changes, bends to creativity, and conveys a dash of energetic diligence. I love to embody a teaching style that strikes the curiosity of students and teachers alike. I also value working in a profession that rewards continued education and research to stay on top of the latest educational milestones. Persistence and versatility are two traits that I believe strongly reflect myself as a teacher. I am always looking to fuse new teaching methods and strategies into my classroom to remedy misconceptions or strengthen student understanding. I actively embrace the lessons learned from failure, and as I tell my own students,"Mistakes are proof you are learning". As I am currently developing and honing my skills, my future goal is to eventually work in a career where I can improve/create online math curriculum that make transitions to virtual learning more accessible to teachers/students and provides exceptional levels of rigor and engagement compared to in-person instruction.
