What I Do: Fleet Maintenance: I develop and implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for our entire fleet, including trucks, trailers, and other equipment. I schedule and coordinate all maintenance activities, from routine inspections to major overhauls. Driver Support: I provide direct support to our drivers, addressing their maintenance concerns and ensuring their vehicles are safe and reliable. I work closely with dispatch to minimize downtime and keep trucks moving. Inventory Management: I manage our inventory of parts and supplies, ensuring we have the necessary materials on hand to keep our fleet running smoothly. I order parts, track inventory levels, and negotiate with vendors to secure the best prices. Safety Compliance: I ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and safety standards. I conduct safety inspections and work with our mechanics to address any safety concerns. Budget Management: I assist in the preparation of the annual maintenance budget and track expenses to ensure we stay within budget. I identify opportunities for cost-saving measures and negotiate contracts with vendors. Data Analysis: I analyze maintenance data to identify trends and areas for improvement. I use this data to optimize maintenance schedules, reduce downtime, and improve overall fleet efficiency. Teamwork: I collaborate effectively with our mechanics, drivers, dispatchers, and management to ensure seamless fleet operations. I provide support to our maintenance team and foster a positive and productive work environment.
