Johnny is a Systems Engineer at MacDonald, Dettwiler & Associates (MDA Space Missions) Robotics and Automation Division, an advanced technology firm specializing in space, medical and nuclear robotics. His primary focus at MDA has been on the Canadian Robotics aboard the International Space Station (ISS), including the CanadaArm2 (SSRMS) and Dextre (SPDM).Johnny makes technical decisions and recommendations to the Canadian Space Agency (CSA), NASA and international partners as well as provides real time flight support to on-orbit operations for the Mobile Service Station (MSS) on the ISS.Johnny is also a Software Engineer in the Software Integration group on the International Space Station (ISS) Contract. Provide CSA support as well as flight software and data integration support including management of the CSA to ISS software Interface Control Document (ICD) and robotic payloads to CSA ICD. Provide delivery of Instrumentation Program and Command List (IP & CL) Standard Input data files for CSA and NASA. He also represent MDA in MSS Software Working Group (MSWG) with robotics operations and software provider organizations.
