About Johnny Vo

I am a Risk Consulting Manager at RSM, serving the Global Banking industry. My experience consists of various Risk and Internal Audit projects. I hold four active licenses that reflect my passion for the accounting profession: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE). In addition to my professional work, I support many marginalized communities including underprivileged students and the LGBT+ community. I co-founded and currently lead a nonprofit called The Opportunity Foundation of Garland. Our mission is to raise scholarship funds for high-achieving underprivileged students at Garland High School, my alma mater. Education has always been a driving force in my life, and I'm committed to paying it forward by supporting the next generation of leaders. It's incredibly rewarding to give back to the community that helped shape me. Also, I serve as NYC Co-Lead for the PRIDE Employee Network Group at RSM, advocating for equal opportunity and representation by all people, regardless of their identity. I believe everyone should treated fairly regardless of income, identity, and other characteristics. I am also an MBA graduate from the NYU Stern School of Business. I'm excited to further develop my business acumen and leadership skills to drive innovation and impact in the accounting and nonprofit industries. As a lifelong learner, I believe that education is a never-ending journey, and I'm always seeking opportunities to expand my knowledge and skills. I'm passionate about using my skills and experience to make a positive difference, whether it's through my work at RSM, my nonprofit leadership, or my graduate studies.
