Cymer is an independently operated business within the ASML group that develops, manufactures and services deep-ultraviolet (DUV) light sources. The product portfolio includes excimer lasers using argon fluoride (ArF) or krypton fluoride (KrF) gases to generate light in the deep-ultraviolet spectrum. These lasers generate the light that photolithography scanners use to image patterns on silicon wafers. The research, development and manufacturing of DUV light sources is centered in San Diego. • Extensive exposure in semiconductor assembly particularly in Front of Line Assembly Equipment and Supervision People handling skills. • Developed, qualified and facilitated smooth production start-up and ramp of enabling technologies such as wire bond copper development as well as product transfer. • Initiates cost innovation projects; materials and equipment • Initiates yield improvement and equipment utilization. • Equipment qualification and buy off • Equipment repair and maintenance • Enhancement of people development skills thru in-house or offshore training • Direct communications with customers, good contacts and relationships with various materials and equipment suppliers and fabrication for Clamp and Insert. • Management of multicultural set of Maintenance Supervisor, technicians and operators • Successful Cu WB start-up into High Volume Manufacturing.
