About Johnson Tan

Over the past 35 years, I have upheld the highest standards of integrity, drawing on extensive entrepreneurial experience both locally and internationally, and cultivating strong people networks through my roles in ICT companies and grassroots organizations. Throughout my 26 years of entrepreneurship in IT, I have consistently achieved goals through strategic thinking, prioritisation, and execution. This has enabled me to develop solid expertise in project management, business development, and stakeholder engagement. I am deeply passionate about fostering trust and confidence among workers and customers, and have collaborated closely with government agencies, industries, and partners to champion fair and mutually beneficial business practices. From 2019 to 2023, I was hired as Vice President of Operations and Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), leading all business operations. In 2022, I spearheaded business expansion efforts in South Korea and Taiwan, while concurrently leading an internal audit team to oversee ISO compliance. These efforts culminated in our successful ISO 27001 certification in December 2023, a testament to our commitment to operational excellence and cybersecurity standards. As the company undergoes restructuring in preparation for sale, I felt it was the right time to seek a new and meaningful challenge - one that aligns with a strong mission and values continuous transformation to remain future-ready. In 2024, I joined Singtel - a company I deeply admire for its pivotal role in Singapore’s journey from mudflats to metropolis. I am proud to contribute wholeheartedly to its mission of empowering people through technology. In parallel, I have served the community for the past 39 years and currently hold the role of Chairman of the Citizens’ Consultative Committee at Bedok Reservoir–Punggol Constituency. My responsibilities include leading monthly stakeholder meetings to address municipal and estate issues, organising key divisional events such as Edusave bursary and award presentations, and promoting cultural and festive celebrations. I also dedicate my weekends to officiating at community events and solemnising marriages. I firmly believe in staying humble, building meaningful connections, and always putting people first.
