In juni 2018 heb ik mijn PhD behaald in Medical Science aan het Karolinska Institutet in Zweden. Het onderzoek richtte zich op het meten van blootstelling aan allergene metalen in de werkomgeving; op de huid of in de lucht, maar ook door biomonitoring. Tijdens mijn PhD heb ik ervaring opgedaan in academisch onderzoek (o.a. projectmanagement, methodeontwikkeling, laboratoriumvaardigheden), wetenschappelijk schrijven en presenteren van onderzoek. Naast analytische en theoretische werkervaring heb ik ervaren hoe grote en kleine productiebedrijven van binnenuit werken- In June 2018 I have finished my PhD in Medical Science from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. The main research focus was to measure exposure to allergenic metals in occupational settings, on skin and in air, but also through biomonitoring. During my PhD I acquired experience in academic research (e.g. project management, method development, laboratory skills), scientific writing, and presenting research. Besides analytical and theoretical work, I have experienced how several large and small production facilities work from the inside.
