About Jon Benedict

There’s something universally connecting about a chef. When someone in a chef coat speaks, people listen—not just because of the title, but because food is deeply personal and relatable. It creates common ground. As a chef, I’ve found that people naturally gravitate toward the culinary story; they trust it, engage with it, and remember it. It's a role that disarms, connects, and opens doors—especially in conversations around care, health, and dignity. Currently responsible for managing R&D Culinary operations for Moms Meals, A Purfoods Company. My focus is on creating an excellence customer service culture, implementing business plans and managing budgets while providing cost savings opportunities affecting multiple departments. I have been working in the Food Service industry for over 30 years with experience in, R&D, consulting, purchasing, facilities planning, menu planning/development, contract negotiations, P&L, payroll, vendor relations, regulatory compliance related to USDA/FDA food labeling, and strategic planning.
