Strategy is about making clear choices—namely how to position your organization against competitors in the eyes of your customers and other stakeholders, across a set of strategic factors (e.g, quality, innovation, customer experience, channel, price). I’ve spent 15+ years transforming how companies organize, operate and create value by developing and implementing strategy (enterprise / corporate strategy, commercial / growth strategy, portfolio strategy, therapy area and brand strategy, R&D strategy, organizational strategy). In that time, I’ve learned great strategy requires deep customer understanding, clear objectives and prioritization (tradeoffs), careful planning, effective communication, and actively managed execution. I’ve worked across the value chain to help Life Sciences companies solve some of their most pressing business challenges: From redesigning their product development & commercialization process and governance model to drive speed, to reimagining the R&D operating model and leading the global transformation program that followed; from designing and leading the structural integration of two merging global MedTech companies, to successfully leading the accelerated US launch of a novel oncology product so patients can access transformational treatments faster.
