About Jon Burns

After just 1 year in the lab business, won lab of the year for safety, quality, and financial performance Global Leader: led John Deere Construction and Forestry teams, globally, in the development and execution of strategic quality plans to achieve Divisional goals. This included all aspects of quality; supplier, manufacturing, design change, and new product development. I provide onsite audits, training, strategic planning support and follow up in Brazil, India, China, Finland, Germany, and New Zealand. Employee Development: In any business it's the people that make the difference. Anyone can buy the best tooling and create the most robust processes. At the end of the day it comes down to who has the best and most engaged people. Helping others succeed through coaching and mentoring is my passion. I have successfully worked my way from a wage employee at John Deere to where I am today which gives me a unique perspective I carry with me every day. I will never forget where I came from or what it took to get here. I was an employee development advisor for both wage and salary employees. Innovation: I have a Positive track record at driving culture changes within an organization, with the use of new and innovative solutions. I have made a significant positive impact at Astec Manufactures Rd, more than doubling their production. I drove product quality at John Deere Construction and Forestry, globally, to distinctive product quality levels. Leveraged significant number of benchmarking visits and working knowledge of industry best practices. Developed tools to assist in strategic planning, design validation with routed components, new inspection technology, and leadership engagement. I have shown that I know how to successfully drive change within an organization. Philanthropy: I firmly believe that it's important to volunteer in your community and make the world a little better than you found it. I was on the Board of Directors at the Dubuque Chamber of Commerce, where I was on the Executive Board, and Chair of the Diversity and Inclusion Division
