About Jon Cooley

I got my first Subaru WRX in 2003, and it wasn’t long before I took it out to Second Creek Raceway (a track that was just outside of Denver, Colorado), and I was immediately hooked. From that point on I started doing everything that I could to learn about how my car worked, and how I could make it better. I also got involved with the local Subaru owners club. We had a number of meets to do everything from go on drives, work on our cars, and at one point, I even organized a track day for the group. In late 2005, I heard that there was an opening at Flatirons Subaru, to run their performance division, Flatirons Tuning. I was able to interview for the position based on the knowledge that I had gained by that point, because of my involvement with the community, and I have been running the department since 2006. At the beginning, I was the entire department. I took care of our customers and set about building up our new website. Through the years I was able to grow the business from its infancy to a point today where we have our own brick and mortar location, and our own staff. A couple of years ago, I realized that Social Media was becoming especially influential in our market. Most specifically video content on Youtube. I thought that the format of Youtube could give a unique way to communicate with our customer base and to more firmly establish our identity as Flatirons Tuning. So I dusted off the knowledge that I had from studying Film at the University of Colorado, and I have been building content onto our Youtube page for the past two and a half years. Skills-Departmental management and analysis utilizing Dealertrack, CDK, and Excel - Managing the day to day operations of a Magento based website - Social Media Marketing utilizing Instagram, Youtube, and Facebook -Video Production including writing, shooting, and editing content, and posting it to Youtube - Strategic planning, and out of the box thinking to succeed in an ever-changing marketplace
