About Jon Cooper

As company chairman and CEO, I oversee operations for this industry-leading manufacturer of fluorescent dyes and ultraviolet lamps, with global sales to over 120 countries. Through a management team spanning international and domestic sales, customer service, research and development, finance, quality control, marketing, information technology, manufacturing, and human resources, I direct the efforts of approximately 100 employees who support more than products. I have established and cultivated relationships with OEMs and other high-profile customers to optimize future revenue. I analyze, allocate, and adjust budgets across all business departments at Spectronics. I was credited with the company’s recognition as an environmentally conscious company; recipient of the U.S. EPA’s Stratospheric Ozone Protection Award. In 2018-2019, I served as the company’s representative on the Long Island Manufacturing Task Force. In 2020, I negotiated the sale of Spectronics’ NDT business unit to allow the company to concentrate on its core expertise of fluorescent leak detection technologies. I am currently in the process of overseeing the relocation of the company’s world headquarters and manufacturing operations to newly renovated facilities on Long Island.
