About Jon Kusnir

I am a full-stack web developer focused closely on front-end development. Over the past three years I have coded e-commerce and product showcase user interfaces using HTML5, CSS, jQuery, Bootstrap, JSON, AJAX, REST and OData to consume web services, deliver typeahead search and create multilingual, animated experiences in retail and business-to-business websites. I can build to design specifications as well as develop from concept or wireframes. I am currently accepting Metro Vancouver contract work in E-commerce, Content Management, Internet Marketing and related disciplines. My background is in computer graphics as a New York-based contractor in finance, advertising, and the industrial and broadcast television industries. In fifteen years as a back-end web developer I have built dozens of projects with technologies such as Perl, ColdFusion, ASP, PHP, SQL and C# on Mac, PC and Linux platforms. My framework experience includes Magento and Yii on XAMP, and Sitefinity and iCiniti on.Net as well as a number of open-source platforms such as OS Commerce. The most recent projects using Sitefinity, C#.Net, SharePoint, Dynamics Nav and related software using APIs that are well-documented and functional, prove that Microsoft platforms support standards such as JSON and REST and work well with client-side elements like jQuery. It is exciting to be in a position to use my experience and ability to deliver content and user experience through the browser, be it desktop, mobile or embedded. I'm looking forward to the next challenge!
