About Jon Maddox

With over nine years of experience as a chemical engineer, I have developed a strong expertise in ODE chemical reaction modeling, residence time distribution testing, thermodynamic modeling, and Matlab computations. These skills enable me to improve the reactor and distillation processes of specialty aromatic solvents at Nippon Chemical Texas Inc (NCTI), where I have been working since July 2014. In addition to my technical competencies, I have also demonstrated my leadership, communication, and project management abilities in various roles and projects. As the chair of the safety committee, I have improved the behavior-based psychology programs supporting safety and conducted frequent company-wide presentations. As a production engineer at ADA Carbon Solutions, I implemented QC/QA improvements using statistical analysis and six sigma methodologies, resulting in a 15% increase in first-pass yield. I also managed and supervised a team of six operators as an operations shift supervisor, and trained them extensively on behavior-based safety. My mission is to apply my scientific and engineering knowledge to enhance the efficiency, quality, and safety of the chemical production processes.
