About Jon McAnney

I have been an attorney with Tucker Arensberg, P.C. since my graduation from Syracuse University School of Law in 1987. In 1995, I was elevated to the position of shareholder in the firm. Since that time, I have served on the firm's Board of Directors and have held other leadership positions including chairing the firm's Risk Management Committee. I am the firm's Pro Bono Coordinator and our representative to the Pittsburgh Pro Bono Partnership. My practice is concentrated in the area of litigation. I represent parties in litigation in the State and Federal Courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. I have been trial counsel in numerous jury and non-jury trials in all counties in Western Pennsylvania, as well as in the Federal District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Among the types of cases I have handled are as follows: • Representing publicly traded companies who have been sued for personal injury, wrongful death, and premises liability claims. • Defended regional utility company which was sued for automobile accident claims. • Represented national home improvement retailer in store-related premises liability claims. • Prosecuted and defended claims against persons or entities which cause significant property damages. • Handled copyright infringement litigation in which damages were awarded against companies for violating federal copyright law. • Represented national credit card portfolio company in recovering millions of dollars in outstanding credit card debt.
