About Jon McCleary

Joining Performance Contracting Group Inc. in Jon currently serves as Director, Strategic Development & Marketing. In his role, Jon oversees PCG’s training, development, and marketing initiatives for its 50+ locations across the United States. A lifetime devoted to the construction industry, Jon began his career in the field as a cabinetmaker, carpenter, and insulator. Working 18 years in his family’s small business, Jon gained experience as a foreman and site superintendent running crews at a paper mill in eastern Washington before progressing to estimating, project management, and ultimately business ownership from 1989 to 1998. Later in 1998, he relocated to northern Idaho, where he started a business building custom wooden boats for fly-fishing clients. His passion for the contracting business brought him back into the fold in May when he joined PCG’s Spokane, WA Insulation and Specialty Services Branch as a senior estimator. Helping build a strong presence in the western Montana industrial market, Jon was quickly tasked to lead as branch manager. In 2005, he helped develop PCG’s Foreman Training Program and became one of two full-time trainers, traveling the country and training more than 400 foremen in just two and a half years. Jon’s dedication to training and employee improvement brought him to PCG’s corporate headquarters in 2008, where he continued to develop as a leader in PCG’s Strategic Development department. Today, PCG’s Strategic Development group serves more than employees nationwide and continues to develop PCG’s next generation of leaders.
